January ~ At the House

"Paws" laid up for the winter - we're both at the house.

Celebrated Pat's 70th birthday, Kenney and the grandchildren dropped in to cook pancakes for Grandma. Attended a couple of funerals of family friends. We have both been invited to join a medical research project, so I will be delayed going south attending an appointment.

Had out last online coffee with Doncaster. It was mutually agreed that it was the same few people, with really only Liz from Doncaster (hosting) and the conversation mostly boating related. Liz has also become busier at work so it was agreed to make this the last. A lifeline when it started during Covid, it has lasted well and been great catching up each month - thank you, Liz.

Storm Éowyn caused damage across Scotland. We had our back fence demolished (again!) - next door lost roof ridge-tiles. Plans put in place for repairs to fence along with general garden work including trees. Cooker replaced after it failed, good deals so replaced fridge as well.

We have now decided (and booked) to attend the Moira Festival and the IWA festival at Market Harborough; no other decisions have yet been made.
