Remained at the house for the remainder of the month. Easter celebrations followed by routine medical appointments.
Early alarm (05:30 to try to get ahead of the Good Friday holiday traffic). Breakfast, then packed the car, replaced the tonneau cover and battened "Paws" down on a bright sunny start to the day. Out of the marina by 07:00, heading north. Did my usual fuel stop at Sainsbury at Stoke-on-Trent, to find they had no unleaded (only Super and diesel). Paid the extra for the super and continued north. The motorway was busy, but still flowing smoothly. The services were similarly busy where I stopped for loo, coffee and lunch breaks. The weather was slowly getting cloudier with rain thratening.
My miles/gallon appeared to be better than usual (having taken Super) so, after several heavy rain showers I decided that I could get right home without stopping again at Straiton. Dropped in to my local Sainsbury to top up fuel before arrival to find they had no unleaded either and again I had to take Super - they were actually looking to close within ½-hour (this at 15:00!). Got to the house, and unloaded in the dry, before a shower, quick meal, and out to Pathhead Church for their evening service. Early night.
A day of packing and clearing up - loo cleared, electricity topped up, rubbish dumped. Out late afternoon to attend a Passover Supper at Horeston Grange Ecumenical Church in Nuneaton, Sarah joining me, but Leigh was feeling well so she Simon and Eleanor didn't get to come. Great evening, great company. Back to "Paws" by 20:30, and an early night. Mostly a bright sunny day, but with occasional showers.
A dull and cloudy day to start the new month, although it did clear somewhat by evening with a little sun peeping through. Clearing up from the work, and prparations for heading north.
