Picture of water vole, taken 28 May '21 at Hinckley. It had paddled over 50 yards next to the banking, popping in and out of the cover. Later in the evening, it was spotted again headed the other way. We had a previous sighting of another vole at Sutton Wharf, and other boaters say they have also seen voles. Obviously the population is doing well on the Ashby Canal.
