Wormleighton mast is visible from the canal for a long period as one steams along. Coming north, it starts right ahead as one passes the village, turns onto the right-hand side, then swings all the way to the left-hand side by the time one actually passes the mast (where we moored 04 July 2021), then coming right astern by the time it disappears - a total of nearly an hour.
The mast was a radio frequency beacon mast forming part of the Decca™ Navigation System. It was the purple substation for English Chain 5B.
